Our Sign

The Line Under Our Name

Look at the sign at our gate and you'll see a house with a heart inside it, and five words under the name: your comfort is our culture.

We mean it plainly. Kagadi has good people and a lot of them are on the move, coming home, coming to work, passing through. When you reach us after a long road, the bed should be clean, the water should run, the food should be ready and somebody should say hello properly.

The Building

You'll Know It From the Road

Green walls, white trim and a grey tiled roof, with a small tower at the back holding our water tanks and our name up top. There are solar panels on the roof for backup power when electricity is not available, a paved compound inside the gate, and granite pillars along the veranda.

The balconies are our favourite part. Every panel is cut metal, palm fronds and seed shapes, with KAYA HOTEL running through the middle.

Our wall keeps the time in Uganda, the USA, Germany and Canada, because plenty of people who come to Kagadi have someone far away they need to call.

Next to the clocks you'll see the President and the Omukama of Bunyoro, Solomon Gafabusa Iguru I. We're a Bunyoro hotel, and we're proud of where we are.
